Riding the Devil is a really good book for kids our age (6th grade). This book can give you a brief example of that California's history was like. It's also funny. Eduardo is always trying to scare Rosita, and Rosita is always playing with her cat, Mariposa. She makes her talk in funny voices. ~~ Ben
